Unfortunately there is nothing planned at present. Whilst tons of bands have expressed interest in being on the tapes, I'm not getting enough orders to justify continuing the label any more. Although I don't run Bliss on a profit-making basis, I do want to spread the music to as many people as possible, and there is no point in me putting out tapes if only a handful of people get to hear them. I have so much faith in the music I promote and I feel sure other people will like it too, but there just doesn't seem to be as much of a call for tape releases any more. I expect people think why bother taking the trouble to order a tape, even if it's cheap, when you can download music off the internet for free. And then there's the popularity of CDs to take into account. I have no intention of turning Bliss into a CD label, for reasons given on the 'about' page. |
